<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while ensuring food safety standards are met. Your role will be pivotal in providing an exceptional experience for our customers.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.</li><li>Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to food safety guidelines.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.</li><li>Handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate records of sales.</li><li>Demonstrate basic math skills for processing payments and managing inventory.</li><li>Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.</li><li>Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.</li><li>Excellent time management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
